Emotional stability comes when skills to face the inevitable ups and downs of life are developed. When these resources of resilience are lacking it can feel like being buffeted on a stormy sea between extreme emotions of anxiety, elation to depression and avoidance. Yoga postures (asanas) provide the means to strengthen, body mind and spirit. In this workshop participants will learn how practice (sadhana) can be a foundation for cultivating a balanced state of mind. Students will come away with practical antidotes to help cope with difficult mind states as well as strategies for cultivating lasting contentment.
6 months yoga experience recommended.
