Come join for a yoga practice (Hatha flow style) that will integrate mindfulness into each class.
Throughout October, we will be practicing in the wonderful Slovenian Hall in Portero Hill. The building is over 100 years old, and lends itself to yoga nicely.
Through yoga practice, you may be able to:
- Learn how to be mindful and reduce stress
- Gain strength and flexibility
- Enjoy time for yourself away from distractions
- Find your breath
- Calm the mind
- Meet fellow students who love yoga
- Be taught by a certified yoga teacher (RYT200), who happens to be Slovenian
What is mindfulness?
Mindfulness is a mental state achieved by focusing one's awareness on the present moment, while calmly acknowledging and accepting one's feelings, thoughts, and bodily sensations, used as a therapeutic technique. (according to Oxford dictionary)
Yoga will be taught with beginner-friendly options. No experience necessary to practice mindfulness.
