Singing! Dancing! Acrobatics! …Androids?
Yesterday Is Tomorrow: A Revolutionary Revue
Written and Performed by Genie and Marie Cartier
A satirical look at the past, present and future of a world increasingly hostile to artists and dominated by technology. With singing, dancing, acrobatics, comedy and boy bands. Also, feminism.
Sisters Genie and Marie Cartier are artists and performers born and raised in San Francisco. They are bringing “Yesterday is Tomorrow: A Revolutionary Revue” to Shelton Theater after performing at The San Francisco Mime Troupe as part of their Emerging Artist in Residence program, as well as at The Marsh Theater as a Marsh Rising performance. In “Yesterday is Tomorrow” the sisters combine their diverse theatrical talents to bring us a show like no other. This poignant piece addresses timely San Francisco issues (and many more) as they seamlessly weave between performance disciplines including puppetry, poetry, acrobatics, song & dance.
