San Francisco's longest-running literary event features literary fantasy, a spiritual sequel to Philip K. Dick, sex work memoir, and economics!

When: Saturday March 12 from 7:30 PM to 9:30 PM, doors open 6:30 PM
Who: Helene Wecker, Joyce Maynard, Noah Smith, Peter Tieryas and Charlotte Shane!
How much: $5 to $20, all proceeds benefit the CSC
Where: The Make Out Room, 3225 22nd. St., San Francisco, CA

About the readers/performers:

Helene Wecker is the author of The Golem and the Jinni, which was nominated for the Nebula Award and the World Fantasy Award and won the Mythopoeic Award.

Joyce Maynard's latest book is Under the Influence. She's also written 15 other books, including the novels After Her and To Die For and the best-selling memoir, At Home in the World. Her novel, Labor Day, became a movie, adapted and directed by Jason Reitman, and starring Kate Winslet and Josh Brolin. She was a columnist for the New York Times, whose Domestic Affairs column also appeared in 50 newspapers nationwide. She's also been a regular contributor to NPR, O, Newsweek, The New York Times Magazine and others.

Noah Smith blogs about economics at Noahpinion. He also writes for the Atlantic and Bloomberg View. He's an assistant professor of finance at Stony Brook University.

Peter Tieryas' latest book is United States of Japan. His previous books are Watering Heaven and Bald New World. His work has appeared in Indiana Review, Evergreen Review, Gargoyle Magazine, Hobart, New Letters, Tor.com and ZYZZYVA.

Charlotte Shane is the author of Prostitute Laundry and N.B. Her articles have appeared in Matter, Pacific Standard, The New Inquiry, Hazlitt, and she co-founded the website Tits and Sass. She currently writes two different Tiny Letter projects, Prostitute Laundry and Prostitunes.
