World Environment Day at the California Academy of Sciences
Local Biodiversity, Climate Change & Environmental Justice: A Conversation about People & Nature in San Francisco
Come celebrate #WorldEnvironmentDay 2017 with the San Francisco Department of Environment, Recreation & Parks Department and our community partners as we discuss this year's theme "Connecting to Nature." The global loss of biodiversity and of human-nature connection - like climate change - are crises affecting people and nature. San Francisco is a microcosm of Earth, still harboring rich local biodiversity and a place where we are putting equity at the center of restoring our relationship with nature.
Co Moderators:
Debbie Raphael, Director SF Department of the Environment & Phil Ginsburg, General Manager SF Rec&Park
Panelists:
Gretchen LeBuhn, SF State University
Lew Stringer, Presidio Trust
Michele Gee, National Park Service
Rebecca Johnson, California Academy of Sciences
Tom Radulovich, Livable City
Space is limited -- Event is Invitation Only & RSVP is Required
