When Andrea's Nguyen's family was airlifted out of Saigon and brought to the United States in 1975, one of the few personal possessions her mother carried with her was a treasured family recipe book. Decades later, Andrea shared the history of her homeland and her passion for Vietnamese cuisine by writing her landmark, award-winning cookbook, "Into the Vietnamese Kitchen".
