Devil’s Canyon Brewing Company invites you to its 9th annual SF Beer Week Women Only Beer Tasting – Sunday, February 11th from 3pm to 6pm at the brewery. Newbies to aficionados welcomed.
When we first began our Women Only Beer Tastings almost 10 years ago, men still dominated the craft beer (or any beer) market. Now, women ages 21-34 drink craft beer more frequently than the national average and represent 37% of craft beer consumption, according to a report by the Brewers Association. Come celebrate women in beer with us! Enjoy sampling beers in a casual setting among other like minded women and embrace the joy that is craft beer.
Explore a variety of styles, learn something new and maybe even surprise yourself. A blind tasting of 8+ beers will be led by Brewery owner Kristiann Garrett. The tasting will help you discover new beers, flavors, complexities and styles and learn how to taste craft beer like a professional. If it is anything like last year, you’ll likely find a new favorite!
Responses from previous tastings include “I didn’t know I liked IPA!” and “I was really surprised by how low I ranked my usual beer. I really prefer…” and "I thought I didn't like dark beer but this is GREAT!"
Some light tasting snacks provided. Feel free to bring food with you or order in if you'd like to eat at the brewery, but be advised that table space is limited due to ALL THE BEER!
Attire: Comfy Casual- that includes sweats!
Please arrange transportation and do not drive under the influence. You will be served 30-40oz of beer (but you don't HAVE to drink it all)!
