Gaming is an industry where less than 25% of the jobs are held by women. After reaching its peaking in 1991 at 36%, the rate of women in computing roles has been in steady decline. That’s why I’m organizing a Women @ GDC dinner event, where women (and men!) can come together to be more of a community and get to know each other better and work to change the male to female ratio in gaming!
Let’s network, share stories, enjoy some food and drinks! There will be a set menu of appetizers, pizzas, and sundaes. Beverages will be offered off the menu.
While this is not a sponsored event, we are independent women, so we don't need anyone to pay for us! But if anyone is able to sponsor, we will take it! (wink)
I hope you can join us!
