Join us for an interactive discussion on influence and leadership in the workplace. Our panelists will provide insight into how they’ve grown their careers, developed meaningful relationships with engineering and executive leadership, and how they’ve used their own influence to impact technical and product decisions. How do these leaders manage various stakeholders? What were the pivotal moments that got them to that next step in their career? 
Panelists and attendees will get the opportunity to network after the discussion. Coffee and breakfast are on the house!

Meet our Panelists
Jenny Chen - Engineering Manager, AIRBNB At Airbnb, Jenny leads the Homes Host engineering teams to drive paid and organic supply growth, improve host performance, and build investments in our host community.  Prior to her current role, she led a full-stack engineering team responsible for Homes merchandising in the guest search experience.  Jenny co-founded and ran a startup, Wanderable - a honeymoon registry, for 4 years; and before that, she was an engineer on the Mechanical Turk service in AWS.
Samantha Cowan - Engineering Manager, ONELOGIN Samantha Cowan is compliance manager on the Security Team at OneLogin, a single sign on and identity management platform. Samantha has extensive experience with complex security projects involving security monitoring, organizational compliance, threat detection, and incident response. Prior to OneLogin Samantha was a security engineer at CoverHound / CyberPolicy, and Zenefits. Samantha holds an MS in Cybersecurity and MBA from the University of Maryland. She lives in San Jose with her amazing pup Layla and a number of snakes. She loves food, comedy, art, and music.
Bhawna Singh - VP of Engineering, GLASSDOOR Bhawna Singh is the vice president of engineering at Glassdoor, driving engineering vision and goals for Glassdoor?s consumer products. Bhawna joined Glassdoor 3 years back to lay the foundation of Glassdoor’s new San Francisco office, since then we have grown to 150+ space. Before Glassdoor, Bhawna was an engineering leader at Ask.com of the Search Intelligence organization that focused on search, machine learning, data science and platform services. Bhawna has worked in the search space for a decade and has 15 years of core software development experience. She is passionate about distributed and highly scalable software technologies and adept at building an efficient global organization structure to balance talent and budget while meeting business needs. Bhawna holds Masters degrees in Software Engineering and Computer Applications, and a BS majoring in Electronics.
Maria Chavez Cantu - Director of Engineering, PANDORA Maria is a technical leader with over 20 years experience in all aspects of software development. At Pandora for over 9 years, she has navigated from a Software Engineer, Engineering Manager, to a Director. She is passionate about working with some of the world's largest companies to provide innovative solutions to the next generation of consumer electronic and automotive devices, enabling listeners to experience Pandora everywhere.  She is also on a mission to pay it forward, encouraging women - especially latinas, to pursue careers in tech. 
Ushashi Chakraborty - Director of Engineering, MODE Ushashi Chakraborty is a Director of Engineering for Backend Engineering at Mode Analytics in San Francisco. She moved to California in October 2018 from Chicago where she worked in Groupon for 5 years as an Engineering Manager for Consumer Applications and before that as a Software Development Engineer in Test. She has also worked in Microsoft and Thomson Reuters. She holds a Masters degree in Computer Science from North Dakota State University. Ushashi has been involved with theater since high school and, especially, with improv since 2015. She is a Second City Training Center, Chicago alumni and has performed improv, sketch and stand up across several small theaters in Chicago.
