Powerful issues raised during the 1960s and 1970s are still with us today! Join us to explore and celebrate with authors from the anthology “Times They Were A-Changing: Women Remember the '60s and '70s” and other works about that era.
Panel discussion, audience Q&A, and readings from six authors. Program includes '60s music by Rita Beach and John Green from Max's Opera Café.

"The Times They Were A-Changing" anthology features 48 first-person accounts by women writers whose lives were changed by events in the two memorable decades of the 1960s and 1970s. More about the book is at http://www.timestheywereachanging.com/

Author bios:

Sue Barizon lives in San Mateo, CA. Her work appears in two CWC “Fault Zone” anthologies: “Over the Edge”; The Garbageman’s Daughter and “Shift”; Off Guard. She was awarded 2013 Writer of the Year by the CWC San Francisco/Peninsula branch. She serves as assistant director for the San Mateo County Fair Literary Arts Division.

Mary Pacifico Curtis received an M.F.A. in Creative Writing from Goddard College. Her poetry and prose has been published by “Lost Magazine,” “The umpus,” Longstoryshort.net, “Clutching at Straws,” “Los Positas College Literary Anthology,” “Boston Literary Magazine,” “Unheard Magazine,” “Pitkin Review,” “Naugatuck River Review,” and “The Crab Orchard Review.” When she is not writing, Curtis runs Pacifico Inc., a leading Silicon Valley PR and branding firm.

Darlene Frank is a writer, editor and creativity coach who helps writers gain creative confidence and live their artistic vision. Her stories appear in “Fault Zone” and “Times They Were A-Changing: Women Remember the ‘60s and ‘70s.” She teaches workshops on how to navigate the writer’s journey. http://www.darlenefrankwriting.com/

Marianne Goldsmith is the pen name of Marianne Smith. Based in Oakland CA, she is an editor and communications consultant, and writes fiction and creative nonfiction. Credits include “Poetry Flash,” “Jewish Writing Project” and “Persimmontree Magazine,” as well as “Times They were A-Changing: Women Remember the ‘60s and ‘70s”.

Elise Frances Miller’s novel, “A Time to Cast Away Stones,” is set in Berkeley and Paris in 1968. Her short work appears in CWC “Fault Zone,” “The Sand Hill Review,” and “Times They Were A-Changing: Women Remember the ‘60s and ‘70s” (2nd Place, Prose). Lynn Sunday lives in Half Moon Bay, CA. Her work appears in anthologies such as “Chicken Soup for the Soul”; “The Magic of Mothers and Daughters,” “Think Positive,” and “ThinkPositive for Great Health.” Also “Times They Were A-Changing: Women Remember the ‘60s and ‘70s,” “Tiny Lights, A Literary Journal,” and “The Noe Valley Voice.”
