Wolf Play - Extended!

SEE EVENT DETAILS
Oct 5th 7pm, October 6th 8pm, October 7th 8pm

What makes a family? In Wolf Play, we meet a young boy who feels more connection to wolves than people: "Wolves suck at being alone. Wolves need family." The play incorporates humor, puppetry, and sharply written dialogue in this tale of people grappling with questions of identity, trust, and parenthood.

Here's what critics and audiences are saying:

"Achingly potent... the acting triumphs... exemplifies one of the great powers of theater, something you just can't get in any other art form"
- SF Chronicle

"superb and authentic... wild and imaginative... I love, love, love this production." - Broadway World San Francisco

"explores the gap between what we want to feel for family members and what bubbles up, unbidden, instead." - Datebook Critics Pick

"unique, poignant, inventive, imaginative and incredibly touching... easily one of my favorite spaces for theater in the Bay Area. "
- Stage and Cinema

"Told with humor, poignancy, and puppetry" - Mercury News

"Truly, this is the best play I have ever attended. I'd be remiss not to mention how moving it was to see a nonbinary character played by a nonbinary actor, and to see queer life portrayed so complexly." - A.L.

"Unusually beautiful play, fantastic production, such a powerful experience. We created our family through adoption, and we felt so seen by this show." - Doug

"Sound design was impeccable and the whole show simultaneously broke my heart and held it together the whole time. It's so special :)" - Anonymous

"I loved it." - Tim

"I loved the show! It felt emotional and troubling and captivating. The actors were stellar. The writing/translation was lyrical at times, but it also felt modern and accessible." - J.H.

$30 - $38.

Presented by Shotgun Players.
