The focus on resilience for this event is extremely empowering, positive, hopeful. It articulates a goal... hope... a positive outcome and acknowledges strength, rather than weakness... wholeness rather than brokenness.
September 23 Celebratory Speaker Event features Inspiring stories of Forgiveness, Resilience and Courage
Dr. Edith Eva Eger, eminent psychologist, prolific author and Auschwitz survivor 'Dr. Edie' will speak about her experiences as a survivor of Auschwitz, as a wife, a mother, educator, human dignity advocate, inspiring speaker, author and internationally renowned psychologist. She will also discuss her highly anticipated memoir, The Choice: Embrace the Possible.
The Choice weaves Dr. Eger’s personal story with case studies from her work as a psychologist. Her patients and their stories illustrate different phases of healing and show how people can choose to escape the prisons they construct in their minds and find freedom, regardless of circumstance.
"Important, gripping, not just another Holocaust book but a universal message of hope" - from the foreword by Phil Zimbardo, Ph.D.
A powerful, moving memoir—and a practical guide to healing—written by Dr. Edith Eva Eger, an eminent psychologist whose own experiences help her treat patients and allow them to escape the prisons of their own minds.
