In this daylong retreat, we will learn the principles of wise speech and wise listening to enhance our communication skills. The Dhamma teaches us that wise speech is honest, kind, beneficial, and timely. So, how do we put these qualities into practice?
Wise communication can be cultivated both through mindfulness practice and learning new skills that allow us to relate in more effective and positive ways. Through teaching, meditation, discussion and practice we will learn how to develop more awareness, compassion and skill within ourselves, leading to more successful and meaningful interactions with others. Applying this mindful communication with family members and others, during the holidays and year round, is vital for healthy, happy relationships.
