The Sister District Project is organizing progressives in safe blue areas like the Bay Area to support Democrats in other areas so we can take back Congress and stop the Trump agenda.
But we aren’t waiting for next year. This year, we are targeting state races where Democrats can regain control, and all eyes are on Virginia.
Why Virginia?
--Virginia is the only Republican controlled state with elections this year.
--We only need to flip 17 of 100 seats to win Virginia. This is possible now.
--Virginia Republicans have extensively gerrymandered districts so Republicans are in safe seats for Congress. By putting Virginia’s state legislature in Democratic hands, we can undo widespread voter disenfranchisement.
This is where you come in! Sister District member Pete Perry, long time veteran of the wine industry, has organized a tasting of some of California's most respected pinot noir producers, with all proceeds dedicated to Democrats in Virginia. We will be sampling highly rated wines from distinctive appellations known for great pinot noir: Dutton Goldfield in Marin, Peay on the Sonoma Coast, Williams Selyem from the Russian River, and Coho in Carneros. These are rare wines from some of California’s best pinot producers that are not often available for tasting. In addition, Spottswoode Winery will provide their acclaimed sauvignon blanc as guests arrive. Wine will also be available for purchase.
