Come restore declining habitat in your local watershed and support endangered species! Learn about rare animals and their habitat while working alongside other volunteers and restoration experts in an ecological reserve normally closed to the public. Saturday, January 25th from 9am to 1pm. Meet at the Rio Del Mar Elementary School parking lot in Aptos. We will be planting native plants, building dog exclusion fences, and removing non-native species. Snacks, drinks, equipment and miscellaneous gloves will be provided. Wear long sleeves, closed toed shoes, and bring gloves if you have them. Rain will cancel the event. For more information contact the Watershed Stewards Project at (831) 464-2950 ext. 24.
