What: Grand Opening Celebration for WildCare's Ambassador Zone
When: Saturday, February 15, 2025 from 10am - 3pm
Where: WildCare Transition off North San Pedro Road off Schmidt Lane in San Rafael. Driving directions at discoverwildcare.org/transition
This is a FREE event and free parking is available!
Join us for the official Grand Opening of WildCare's Ambassador Zone on Saturday, February 15, 2025 from 10am - 3pm!
This fun and family-friendly event will let you get "nose to beak" with WildCare's wonderful educational animals, including Baja, the Brown Pelican (above), Trill the Western Screech Owl, Mohave the Desert Tortoise, and WildCare's newest Ambassador animal, Quercus the Acorn Woodpecker! The day will feature live animal encounters with WildCare's Wildlife Ambassadors "on the glove," along with special presentations full of fascinating facts, wildlife-related crafts, raffle prizes and more!
This event is free to the public. RSVP is requested at discoverwildcare.org/rsvp.
WildCare's Wildlife Ambassadors are former Wildlife Hospital patients that would not be able to survive in the wild, so they live full time at WildCare and serve as educational representatives for their species.
Meeting these incredible animals up close can be life changing for children and adults alike, and WildCare is thrilled to once again be able to share our educational wildlife with the public.
