Wikipedia Training: 2019 Art+Feminism Edit-a-Thon

SEE EVENT DETAILS
Art+Feminism is an international project improving Wikipedia’s content on women, queer, and non-binary people in the arts by encouraging women, queer, and non-binary identifying people to contribute. To address the well-known gender gap on Wikipedia, MCAM and the F. W. Olin Library, Mills College invite you to learn how to edit Wikipedia to create new articles and improve visibility and representation within this increasingly important repository of knowledge. People of all gender identities and expressions are invited to participate.

Veteran wikipedian, DreamyShade, will join us to assist beginners and troubleshoot edits. Bring your laptop, power cord and ideas for entries that need updating or creation. There will be source books on hand for inspiration and reference, and we'll be in a library with plenty of resources to work with.

Updated information about pre-event Wikipedia training and additional activities (TBA), will be published on Facebook and our website at mcam.mills.edu/events in the near future. Stay tuned!

This event is organized by the Mills College Art Museum and the hosted by the F. W. Olin Library at Mills College.
