Why Won’t You Apologize?: Harriet Lerner in Conversation with Barbara Morrill

SEE EVENT DETAILS
“If you want to know why Harriet Lerner is one of my great heroes, Why Won’t You Apologize? is the answer. This book is a game changer.”
—Brené Brown, PhD, LMSW, author of the #1 New York Times bestseller Rising Strong
With her signature punch and humor, Harriet Lerner sheds new light on the two most important words in the English language—"I’m sorry." She shows us how important the simple apology is, and what's required to heal broken connections and restore trust when the hurt we've inflicted or received is far from simple. Her book, Why Won't You Apologize? Healing Big Betrayals and Everyday Hurts also addresses the compelling needs of the injured party who has received a bad apology or none at all, and turns popular notions about forgiveness on their head.
Dr. Lerner is joined in conversation by Dr. Barbara Morrill to discuss what drives non-apologizers, over-apologizers, and how to craft a deeply meaningful “I’m sorry” of your own. Book sale and signing to follow.
Harriet Lerner, PhD, is one of our nation’s most respected voices in the psychology of women and family relationships.  She is the author of numerous scholarly articles and twelve books, including the NYTimes best seller The Dance of Anger which has sold several million copies with over thirty foreign editions.
