In that spirit, Mark Schiff will take the stage to weave tales, spin jokes and share his unique perspective, all with the aim of uplifting our spirits. Mark's stand-up comedy landed him on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno and Late Night with David Letterman and won him critical acclaim for his HBO and Showtime specials. However, as he was performing, writing and guest starring on TV shows like NBC's Mad About You, Mark was struggling with a sense of belonging.
In his deeply human and funny new book, Why Not? Lessons on Comedy, Courage, and Chutzpah (Apollo Publishers, 2022), Mark shares his journey growing up without a community to discovering the comedy scenes in New York and Los Angeles, and, ultimately, getting the last laugh by finding his self-worth and purpose in LA's Jewish community.
