The 59th annual White Elephant Sale, the biggest and best rummage sale in Northern California, returns to Oakland March 3 and 4, 2018. Shoppers will have early access to items during the Preview Sale, which takes place on Sunday, January 28 from 10 am to 4 pm. Proceeds from the Sale, which is organized and presented by the Oakland Museum Women's Board, benefit the Oakland Museum of California. For the past three years, the Sale raised over $2 Million each year to support the Museum.
A range of quality used goods, including furniture, artwork, household items, china, sporting goods, fine jewelry, Asian collectibles, tools, music, books, vintage and contemporary clothing, will be sold in the 96,000-square-feet warehouse at 333 Lancaster Street. The event is made possible by donations from the public and with the help of more than 1,000 volunteers.
Now in its 59th year, the 2018 White Elephant Sale continues to create one of the most memorable shopping experiences in the West, offering an array of second-hand treasures perfect for collectors, art lovers, musicians, and anyone looking for a good deal on many remarkable items. Sale hours are from 10 am to 4 pm on Saturday, March 3 and Sunday, March 4. Admission is free.
