The West Valley Dance Company was created for dancers craving additional performance opportunities and competitive dancing experience.
Acro & Gymnastics
A sport in which flexibility, balance, strength, muscle control, discipline, & concentration are taught and the focus is on fundamental acrobatic technique.
Ballet is the foundation for all styles of dance, with an emphasis on technique, proper body alignment, and balance. Students will acquire the knowledge and use of barre technique, center floor skills, and terminology.
Contemporary & Lyrical
Is an expressive dance form that combines ballet and jazz technique. These classes allow dancers to bring personal freedom, spirit, and creativity to their movement.
High-energy classes that infuse the latest styles of street dancing, breaking, popping, and locking. Classes will encourage students to step outside of the box by bringing their own individual style and personality to the movements.
Jazz is a fun, upbeat dance form that teaches development in technique, rhythm, and style. This class will focus on flexibility, body isolations, turns, leaps, and progression combinations.
Mommy & Me
The parent participation gymnastics class focuses on guiding the children in their first structured class. The class will focus on learning the basics of gymnastics while singing and having fun! We will focus on following directions and cooperation while preparing them to take classes on their own. *Walking – 2 yrs
Performance Team Classes (Dance Cats, Dance Kittens, Tom Cats, & All Stars
These classes will be comprised of two components—a jazz technique portion of class and a choreography portion of class. The choreography learned in Team Classes will be performed at all holiday events (Sept-Dec) and the end of the year recital (Jan-June).
Pilates dramatically transforms the way your body looks, feels and performs. It builds strength without excess bulk, creating a sleek, toned body with slender thighs and a flat abdomen.

Tap is an art form in which dancers create sound through footwork. Dancers will develop rhythm, timing, and proper tap technique.
Technique/Turns & Conditioning
These classes will consist of intense warm-ups that focus on developing increased flexibility and strength, and may include progressions across the floor involving correct body placement/alignment and executing of turns, leaps, jumps, and tricks.
A fitness class that combines a motivating fusion of Latin and international music with unique moves and dynamic combinations. A mixture of body-sculpting movements with easy-to-follow dance steps, Zumba utilizes the principles of aerobic interval and resistance training.
