Wender Weis Foundation for Children (WWFC) presents its eighth annual Holiday Heroes fundraiser, an extraordinary holiday party for children of all ages, at AT&T Park, home of the San Francisco Giants!
Attendees will have the exclusive opportunity to meet San Francisco Giants Legend and Home Run King Barry Bonds and additional Bay Area professional athletes and mascots. A preliminary line-up of current and former Bay Area athletes slated to attend include San Francisco 49er players and alums Joe Staley, Solomon Thomas, Eric Heitmann, and Dennis Brown; Olympian Jonny Moseley; and San Jose Earthquakes Chris Wondolowski and Khari Stephenson. Additional athletes will be announced closer to the event.
Festivities include arts & crafts, buffet of ballpark food and drinks, holiday cookie decorating, teddy bear stuffing, video games, and a whole lot of holiday cheer! In addition, there will be a silent auction filled with family activities, hotels, restaurants, sports memorabilia, trips, and experiences.
The event will sponsor more than 300 underserved children's attendance at Holiday Heroes, and this year, Holiday Heroes also hope to bring 200 kids from Sonoma and Napa, who have been displaced by the fires. For all of these sponsored children, Holiday Heroes might be their only holiday celebration.
In addition, a few of the event beneficiaries include the Giants Community Fund, the Warriors Community Foundation, San Francisco 49ers Foundation, UCSF Benioff Children's Hospital, Do It for the Love Foundation, and the Fit Kids Foundation.
