Have a pretty decent handle on the basics of CSS, but want to dive deeper into the specifics of layout and positioning? Interested in learning how to harness the power of styling and to properly apply it in order to accomplish your layout aims?
CSS is a must for a well-rounded developer and is an absolute necessity for frontend developers. By the end of this workshop, you will not only be able to speak intelligibly about layout using CSS, but also leave with the tools to efficiently tackle the layout-related challenges that come your way.
You'll get practice with layout techniques like display modes and floats, learn to discern the difference between the various positioning and spacing options, and even get an introduction to Flexbox and Grid. Finally, you'll apply your newly acquired knowledge to construct a layout for a simple web page.
This event will feature a mix of lecture, pair programming, and hands-on exercises — all in the name of taking your CSS skills to the next level.
