#we - a new talk and reading series of queer perspectives

SEE EVENT DETAILS
The Octopus Literary Salon presents a new quarterly talk and reading series of queer perspectives, hosted by Richard Loranger. Each installment will feature two writers from various segments of the queer spectrum, who will each give a prepared talk on their perspective on or experience of queerness, followed by a reading of their creative work. For our debut event, trans activist and author Julia Serano will give a talk entitled "Queer Posers (or perhaps they aren't actually posers?)" and will read from a novel-in-progress, and host Richard Loranger will introduce the series and speak on "Marginalizing Marginalization," followed by a selection of poetry. A Q&A and chat time will follow.

Absolutely all are welcome to this sharing of perspectives. ASL translation for the deaf will be provided, and the venue is wheelchair accessible.
