“Water Efficient Gardening 101†will cover the basics of plants, planting, care and ongoing maintenance for a garden landscape featuring water-wise or drought-tolerant plants. Both large-scale and small-scale projects will be addressed, including patio and container gardening. There will be a raffle at the event for several drought-tolerant plants, and free refreshments will be provided, courtesy of the Friends of the Menlo Park Library.
The free gardening program is presented by the Menlo Park Library, and will take place Saturday, September 6 at 11 a.m. at the Menlo Park City Council Chambers, located at 701 Laurel Street. Free wheelchair accessible van service is available for Menlo Park area seniors and people with disabilities. Call 330-2512 for van reservations.
