Held at the elite Berber SF restaurant located at 1516 Broadway Street, San Francisco, CA 94109, come join us for an elegant evening of music, networking, and a live preview of our Julius Caesar production opening on November 30th at the Hudson theatre in Hollywood. All proceeds will go to funding our unique and exciting productionn of one of Shakespeare's most famous plays. Set in the world of modern warfare with gender bending roles and a diverse cast, watch actual combat veterans bring this story of war and politics to life like you have never seen! Directed by Ann Noble.

WHO WE ARE
WFP is a collaboration of US military veterans and civilians who believe in the healing effects of art.  Our company provides catharsis for those who have served and promotes peace by way of the theatre arts. Our projects are designed to build bridges between communities, support disenfranchised groups, promote ethnic diversity, empower women, narrow the civil-military divide, and foster peace among nations. WFP has a simple philosophy: Who better to promote peace than those who have seen the face of war? We believed art transcends politics and brings people together. WFP provides artists a venue to use their craft to have a positive impact on the world around them and the communities in which they live.

WHAT WE DO
WFP is not just a good idea. We have a history of success that shows how powerful the collaboration is when civilians and veterans come together to help our war fighters heal, empower people, and promote peace through building bridges. Here are just a few examples of the work we have done in the past year:

WOMEN OF SHAKESPEARE PRODUCTIONS
See the solidarity, strength and beauty of women coming together to express their power through the words of Shakespeare. Directed by women, this all female cast was a collaboration of veterans and civilians. Performed at the Historic American Legion Post 43 in Hollywood, CA.

MUSLIM OUTREACH PROJECT
In order to take a stand against Islamophobia and hate, WFP partnered with the modern dance group DIAVOLO | Architecture in Motion® to support the Muslim community by offering a day learning Shakespeare and dance.  Held at the IMAN Cultural Center in LA, this event fostered community between veterans and members of Muslim faith.

FIGHTING DISCRIMINATION WITH SHAKESPEARE
WFP assembled 28 actors to recite a famous Shakespearean monologue. Based on historical events, this powerful piece depicts Shakespeare's attempt to find the humanity in people and is a plea for us to see each other as connected and not the "other:"
