You'll assemble a useful swatch kit for future reference (all materials provided) as she introduces you to cotton, wool, silk, linen and their man-made counterparts, and discusses the construction and nature of woven fabrics vs. knit fabrics. This workshop is perfect for anyone wanting to improve their knowledge of textiles, at any skill level!About the Expert: Geana Sieburger is the owner of GDS Cloth Goods, a small-batch design and production studio responsibly creating staple pieces for wear and use. As an advocate of textile education, Geana has taught at The Children’s Creativity Museum, The Contemporary Jewish Museum, Apparel Arts, local boutiques and private events. Formerly, she was Assistant Buyer and Marketing Director of Britex Fabrics for over 7 years. She is a proud alumna of California College of the Arts and active participant of the Bay Area’s craft scene.
