What we're looking for:
Caring adults 21 or over who have reliable access to a car
Someone who is empathetic, a good listener, and wants to make a difference in a young person's life. You do NOT have to have lived the perfect life. Often youth learn best from mistakes we're willing to share with them.
A commitment of 2 hours a week for a full year
All mentors are required to complete a background check and training. Our mentoring coordinator will be available for support throughout the program (from beginning to end).
Many of the youth we serve have never had an adult really listen and care for them until they get a mentor. Often, they feel the world is against them. We believe in the potential of every child, and mentoring as a tool to help youth succeed.
