Joe Goode Performance Group's first-ever festival at the Annex is now adapting its goal for artistic dialogue & proximity -- into a scaled-back, virtual platform -- to occur during its originally scheduled time. GUSH aims to honor and uplift the ongoing work of dance-making (and now, during a pandemic), in its messiness, resilience, and persistence.
Access virtual streaming of: classes, interactive short works for feedback, and talks with artists. GUSH features Joe Goode Performance Group, GERALDCASELDANCE, and NAKA Dance Theater -- as they experiment with shared creative prompts and explore what their virtual artistic practices look like.
"All the artists in this festival exude a depth of passion and commitment to an idea -- in whatever mode of performance they take on. As we prepare to present work that is wholly and unapologetically itself, we have a lot to gush over." --Joe Goode
Close together. Process-curious. Plentiful.
