As part of Child Abuse Prevention Month, the Strong Families Alliance (SFA) of Alameda County will host a virtual Family Story Time on Friday, April 9 from 3:30PM - 5:00PM with Bay Area authors Nancy Johnson James and Dr. Khalid White. This is one of many activities SFA is providing during the month of April to help strengthen parent/child relationships.
Families with children ages 0-9 years old will have the opportunity to hear Nancy read her book Brown: The Many Shades of Love, and Khalid will read in both English and Spanish his book Hermanita. Parents and their children will participate in a Q&A session with the authors following each reading.
Families living in Alameda County who register by March 26 will receive a signed copy of one of the books while supplies last. The books and a special Story Time packet of activities will be safely delivered by Family Paths, Inc. to homes so families can follow along during the event.
