Straight from their new EP “Chillality”, the song “We’re Here” finds it’s way onto the big screen at the Mission District’s own historic Roxie Theater. The new video created by prefigurative band Future Twin and directed by Sascha Schöberl was made in collaboration with new open-source (read: non-commodified) software which allows for an interactive video watching experience. During the evening, there will be multiple screenings with different audience members at the controls of this groundbreaking “choose your own adventure” video. Each screening promises to unveil new hidden gems in the music video, in part shot on the mural-filled Clarion Alley, just one and a half blocks from the theater. In addition, there will be a live performance from Future Twin as well as a screening of local filmmaker Ramon de Santiago’s “Mission Liminal” addressing the current changes facing the Mission District. The evening will be topped off with a surprise secret screening of a movie about another badass band fighting to rid their home from zombies. A perfect choice for film as Future Twin is actively involved in defending San Francisco’s longtime grassroots communities during the current hostile takeover of our city.
