Veterans Mayoral Candidate Forum

SEE EVENT DETAILS
The San Francisco Veterans Affairs Commission cordially invites you to attend our Mayoral Candidate Forum.
On this Memorial Day Weekend, there's no more fitting tribute or better way to show your support of our veterans than actively engaging with the future Mayor of San Francisco and the leaders in our community.
We want to know where each candidate for Mayor stands on the issues facing the veterans in our community and what their plans are to address the needs and concerns of veterans and their families. There are over 27,000 veterans in San Francisco, over 70% of them are over the age of 55, and the issues that affect the regular citizen affect our veterans disproportionaly.
Each candidate will have 10 minutes to present their veteran-focused platform, followed by a moderated 10-minute Q&A session and 10-minute wrap-up session.
Topics will include veteran homelessness, affordable housing, healthcare, mental health, reintegration services, and employment.
Voter education and registration booths will be set up to assist veterans and other community members with questions about the election process - vote by mail has already started and the election is June 5th.
Veteran-service providers will be on-site to highlight their work in the community and will be available to answer any questions about the programs, services, and resources they can provide.

Press and public contact: Commissioner Victor Olivieri, Ph.D. at [email protected]

*This is a non-partisan event taking place in a public building. The San Francisco Veterans Affairs Commission is a non-partisan consultative body providing the forum for the productive discussion of veteran-related issues, policies, and services.
