Veteran Activist David Hartsough Speaks on 'Waging Peace'

SEE EVENT DETAILS
at Unitarian Universalists of San Mateo (see times)
David Hartsough's book, "Waging Peace: Global Adventures of a Lifelong Activist", is a testament to the difference one person can make. His stories inspire, educate, and encourage readers to find ways to work for a more just and peaceful world.

David will speak about his life, his book, and his latest reflections on the world.

Inspired by the examples of Mahatma Gandhi and Martin Luther King Jr., David has spent his life experimenting with the power of active nonviolence. "Waging Peace" is the story of one man's effort to live as though we were all brothers and sisters.

David is the director of Peaceworkers; he was also a co-founder of the Nonviolent Peaceforce and World Beyond War.
