Valentine's Day Special: Seduced by the Kisses of Rope: Building Intimacy & Connection with Rope

SEE EVENT DETAILS

A Special Valentine's Day Rope Class

$65 per couple/pair

An introduction to Kanso’s Kiss of Rope technique, a simple and intimate form of Japanese Rope Bondage that involves using a single rope to caress, capture and seduce your partner.

I share techniques on how to create mental and emotional space for deeper connection with your partner through the Japanese concept of Kokoro, which translates as "letting the rope flow through heart, mind, and spirit".

Learn to avoid getting too caught up in complex forms and patterns, in order to better focus on sensing and responding through the rope, letting intuition and the subconscious set the flow.

It's all about the journey, NOT the destination!

**No previous rope experience is necessary.

A few notes about the class:

* This class should be attended in pairs.
* We provide the rope for people to practice with.
* People should come dressed comfortably, to tie and be tied.
* Those who will be tied should wear tight fitting, comfortable
clothes (loose stuff gets in the way!)
* If you have a yoga mat, please bring one.

PRESENTER:
Kanso is a teacher, performer and visual artist of Japanese rope bondage (Shibari). He was first introduced to the world of Shibari while visiting Japan 2006 and has spent the last 11 years refining his rope practice and skills.

In 2010 he co-created Bondage Erotique with the intent of introducing a more sensual and intimate approach to rope bondage. He has taught rope intensives in NYC, L.A. Atlanta, Dallas, Portland, San Antonio, D.C, etc, and has performed extensively at corporate events, art shows & music festivals across the U.S.

In 2017, Kanso started the Kiss of Rope with the intention of bringing the art of Japanese rope more into the mainstream, through performance art and private instruction. The aim is to raise awareness of Shibari as a transformational practice that helps build deeper intimacy, connection, and sensuality between partners.

Kanso was the resident rope instructor at the SF Armory until it closed its doors in 2017 and taught a year-long curriculum taking students from beginner through to suspension. He continues to offer sev eral on-going monthly classes and events in his hometown of San Francisco.
