What: The University Council on Diversity and Inclusion invites you to an evening with School of Education’s Dean, Kevin Kumashiro. The event will include discussion of current debates on educational reform that place blame on public school teacher, teacher unions, and teacher educators for all that is wrong with schools, with little critical questioning of real systematic problems. His presentation will include discussions of solutions to problems plaguing our nation’s schools and suggestions for ways to see the bigger picture when it comes to education.
When: Tuesday November 12, 2013 4:30 p.m. - 6:00 p.m.
Where: McLaren 250, University of San Francisco’s main campus (2130 Fulton Street).
About: This program benefits USF students, the community, and society as a whole, opening up the debate of systematic problems that exist for teachers and introducing the community to ways in which to solve these problems.
