Are you tired of being the only person in the room who doesn’t smell violets or black plums in your glass? Do you wish you could choose a wine at a restaurant without having palpitations? Do you think your wines are sweet, but everyone insists on calling them fruity? Are you interested in learning about wine without having to buy a case?
Wine is often accused of being snobbish. The swirling, the sniffing, the fancy terms and the 400-page wine list are part of a routine that is perceived to be complicated and intimidating for no good reason. It’s time to pivot!
Join Wine Pivot’s CEO Leticia Borges, for the first in a quarterly series of wine education sessions intended to break down the wine mystery once and for all. The interactive sessions are designed to help normal people “up their wine game” with practical knowledge that can immediately improve their overall comfort level with wine.
SESSION INCLUDES A GUIDED WINE TASTING EXPERIENCE OF FOUR WINES AND A SIMPLE FOOD PAIRING EXERCISE.
About Leticia Borges and Wine Pivot: Leticia created Wine Pivot to help everyday people enjoy a less intimidating experience with wine. Her goal is to make wine more approachable for those who don’t have an unpronounceable French title or the nose of a bloodhound. Having spent more than 20 years as a Business Consultant with some of the largest Consulting firms in the world, she has also been pursuing her goal of becoming a Master of Wine –equivalent to a Master Sommelier on the Wine Education track. Leticia passed the Wine and Spirit Education Trust levels 1 and 2 with a Distinction Award, the highest accolade granted. She also passed both parts of the demanding Wine & Spirit Education Trust Level 3 examination on her first try.
Leticia has visited 30 wine producing countries, curated numerous wine tasting sessions and is set out to prove that normal people don’t have to become sommeliers to enjoy wine. Being a Normmelier® can be just as much fun.
