PANEL OF THOUGHT LEADERS

H.E. AMBASSADOR MOUSHIRA MAHMOUD KHATTAB, Advisor to the United Nations Human Rights Council on the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child. She is the former Minister of Family & Population, Former Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador of Egypt to South Africa, the Czech Republic and Slovakia as well serving in Egypt’s diplomatic missions in Australia, Hungary, Austria and the United Nations in New York and Vienna. She is also a human rights activist advocating the rights of children and women and the former Chair of the UN Committee on the Rights of the Child based at the UN Headquarters in Geneva. In 2016, Prime Minister of Egypt announced the nomination of Moushira Mahmoud Khattab for the post of UNESCO Director-General.

FARID YOUNOS, Ph.D., Professor, Author, women rights activist, television personality, founder of Afghan Domestic Violence Prevention and founder of International Movement Against Child Marriages.
