UDC Presents: Do You Trust the News? A conversation about free press, fake news and reporting in America.

SEE EVENT DETAILS
CNN vs Fox News.

The New York Times vs the Wall Street Journal.

Breitbart vs NPR.

There have never been more sources of news but which ones do you trust? In the era of ‘fake news,’ how is the average person supposed to cut through all the noise? Is there a difference between ‘bias news’ and ‘fake news’?

The United Democratic Club is hosting a panel to discuss the media landscape in America. With a broad range of experts, we'll be talking about how news organizations maintain trust with the general public and what challenges they face. How do you establish trust with a new audience? How can journalism thrive given the economic challenges that it faces? What do you do if people only want news they agree with?

Join the conversation as we explore what news means today.
