Join sports dietitian Dorette Franks, RDN and learn how to make your calories count with Metabolic Efficiency Training, a cutting-edge nutrition strategy for runners looking to improve body composition and avoid fueling with all the sugars.
We'll start with a group run, followed by an exclusive nutrition seminar and Q&A for Impala Racing Team members.
This seminar will help you understand:

The meaning of metabolic efficiency and why it applies to you.
How different fuel sources impact your energy levels and body composition.
Adjustments to your daily diet and training nutrition that will help you better burn fat.
How to eliminate GI distress by reducing your intake of sugary products in training and competition.

Join us to learn how UCAN be fit with the right nutrition plan!
SCHEDULE:
6 PM: Group run; show up early to try fueling with UCAN pre-run for steady energy that's easy on your stomach. UCAN recovery shakes to be provided post-run.
7 PM: Nutrition seminar + Q&A


About Dorette Franks
Dorette is a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist specializing in sports nutrition, weight management, disordered eating, plant-based nutrition and women's health. She holds coaching credentials with USA Triathlon, USA Track & Field, and RRCA (Road Runner's Club of America). She's a 5-time Ironman finisher, 3-tim Boston Marathon Qualifier and racer, and an ultra-marathon runner. Her training plans and nutrition tips have been published by Triathlete, Shape, Runner's World, and Women's Health Magazines. Dorette and her husband Coach Duane are co-founders of Trifiniti Endurance, a multi-sport endurance and nutrition performance training company. Together, they help runners, swimmers, cyclists and triathletes achieve outstanding performance and health.
