Twisted Roots celebrates heart health month this February at its Carmel Valley Tasting Room at Lyons Head Gallery, 12 Delfino Place in the heart of the valley. Open Friday through Sunday12:00 p.m.–5 p.m.), the tasting room pours wines created from estate grapes on vines first planted in Lodi in 1918. Did you know the winery’s name came from a twisted root that the family dug up from the vineyard?
Tastings are $5 and include four wines:
· 2012 Chardonnay, which is a very light, "Chablis" style wine.
· 2010 Cabernet Sauvignon that won a gold medal in the 2013 San Francisco Chronicle wine competition
· 2010 Petite Sirah, the family’s flagship wine.
· 1918 Old Vine Zinfandel our most popular, and the vines that started the whole thing back in "1918"
During the month of February, Twisted Roots will support the American Heart Association. From February 1st to 28th at Twisted Roots Carmel Valley Tasting Room:
· $1.00 from every bottle of wine purchased at the Tasting Room will benefit the American Heart Association
· On National Drink Wine Day, February 18th, become a Twisted Roots Wine Club Member and $5.00 will be donated in your name to the American Heart Association.
In addition on Valentine’s Day, Friday, February 14th all women will receive complimentary tastings between 3:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.
