Four girls. Four boys. And one summer day that will change their lives forever. Set in suburban Paris, Contes de Juillet embarks on telling two separate tales of romantic misunderstanding. In part one, work colleagues and new friends Milena and Lucie go swimming at a public pool on a hot summer day. There they meet Jean, a lifeguard, who endlessly flirts with the pair, thereby disrupting and ultimately threatening their friendship. In the second part, it is Norwegian student Hanne’s last day in Paris. She spends it trying to avoid three men who have contrived to bring chaos to her farewell.
