Robert Moses' Kin (RMK) announces the world premiere of
"Trick Bags/Trap Doors/Painted Corners," created collaboratively by Robert Moses and guest choreographers Terence Marling and Latanya d. Tigner with two weekends of performances, May 12-14 and May 19-21 at Dance Mission Theater in San Francisco.
"Trick Bags/Trap Doors/Painted Corners" looks at how parents leave their children vulnerable, how literally dangerous it is for children of different heritages to be friends if they buy into the ideas of colorblindness and meritocracy. The "trap doors" refers to the issue of trust between parents.
The music for Trick Bags is composed by PC Munoz, Moses, and Marling.
