Trees of San Francisco - Forest Bathing in McLaren Park

SEE EVENT DETAILS
Looking to feel more grounded and deepen your relationship with the natural world? As part of Friends of the Urban Forest's Tree Tour series, we're hosting a forest bathing walk in John McLaren Park on Saturday, May 13.

The event will be led by Tom Imus, Founder and Lead Guide at Meridian Forest Therapy. Tom is certified with the Association of Nature and Forest Therapy and regularly leads forest bathing events throughout the Bay Area.

The practice of forest bathing (also known as forest therapy or shinrin yoku) encourages participants to slow down and reconnect with the natural world by quieting the mind and awakening the senses. Meridian's walks are gentle, guided meditative experiences intended to help people slow down and find a place of stillness where meaningful connection with nature becomes possible while building community with fellow participants. There's no right or wrong way to participate -- just come and be yourself. For more information, visit MeridianForestTherapy.org.

The specific meeting location is TBD (we'll post it here, and if you already have a ticket we'll email you). McLaren Park is adjacent to the Excelsior, Crocker-Amazon, Visitacion Valley, and Portola neighborhoods in southern San Francisco.

Note that our Tree Tours happen rain or shine, and tickets cannot be exchanged or refunded.
