YOSHITOSHI PRESENTS DEAN COLEMAN CD RELEASE TOUR FOR
'HOUSE OF YOSHI'
FROM NYC DJS, PRODUCERS, & REMIXERS
TRATNER & GALVAN
Trattner & Galvan Bio:
It doesn’t usually happen this way in dance music. Since they first joined forces, Producers and DJ’s Jonathan Trattner & Bryan Galvan have found success across all dance music mediums, from self-promoted weekly parties, to high-profile remixes, to international DJ gigs, to the new frontier of satellite radio. And that’s all in just one year as a team.
Since its April release on the Hilo imprint, the duo’s latest offering, the atmospheric “La Zona Blanca,” has landed on the playlists of heavy hitters like Danny Tenaglia, Timo Maas, Peter Rauhofer, and Chus & Ceballos. “La Zona Blanca” stayed in the number one position of web vendor Satellite Records sales chart for 14 consecutive weeks; been ranked in the UK’s DJ magazine hype chart, reviewed in the US’s Urb and HX magazine, and was licensed by London’s NRK for Tom Stephan’s These Beats Are… compilation. It’s also their first original record as a team. While the two had been making their mark on dance music separately – Galvan as group manager of the Satellite Records Label Group, and as a DJ, with residencies at Roxy and Limelight and opening slots for Danny Tenaglia; and Trattner as half of production duo Rivera & Trattner, best know for their club hits "Drum Fever" and "Deep into the Night", plus years of many titles out on Empire State, Strictly Rhythm, Nervous, and Hilo records. In 2002 the duo Trattner & Galvan stepped into the studio together to remix Victor Calderone s classic “Beat Me Harder” for Empire State Records. Their driving mix was selected for release by Calderone himself, and subsequently dubbed “scorching” and “stylish” by the dance music press.
That studio recognition breathed life into the duo’s DJ-ing career. They launched the HiLo Allstars mix show, a weekly mix show on “The Move,” one of two dedicated dance stations on the ever-growing XM Satellite Radio network (two million subscribers and counting!). To promote the show, Trattner & Galvan took to the road, bringing the Hilo style to cities through out the last two years in North and South America.
But the real challenge was back home in New York, one of the world’s most competitive locales for new DJ’s. Partnering up with house legend Lenny Fontana, Trattner & Galvan launched “Junction”, a weekly Thursday party at the notoriously famous underground club Filter 14 which lasted until the end of the venue’s existence.
Trattner and Galvan currently are releasing their next single “Como Yo”, coming out onHilo in May 2005. Their remix of John Creamer & Stephane K’s “High Hatz” is set to hit the stores this summer along with their original single “Break!” coming out on Chus & Ceballos’ Spain powerhouse label Stereo Productions. If that wasn’t a crazy enough release schedule, their bootleg “Dop vs Puma” hits the streets officially on vinyl June 2005 after making tremendous noise in England. If their track record is any indication, each promises to be unexpectedly accomplished, universally embraced, and uncommonly successful.
