Uncommon Cacao is backed by Acumen, a global non-profit, structured as a venture fund, that invests in companies serving low-income customers with the goal of solving some of the biggest problems of poverty. Uncommon sourced chocolate from seven countries and thirteen origins in 2018, including Haita, Guatamala, Colombia, and Uganda.
