Transits and the Transcendent Function: The Astrology of Psychological Integration

SEE EVENT DETAILS
The intergration circle is very happy to host our dear friend and esteemed colleague, Rebecca Farra, M.A. and astrolger (aka Wild Witch of the West), for her fascinating talk "Transits and the Transcendent Function: The Astrology of Psychological Integration" . The archetypes of the psyche surround us in the cosmos and also offer a possible pathway for understanding our own integration process. In many ways, astrology bridges our current understanding with that which is still unconscious. In psychology, this tension between conscious and unconscious in attempting union is the transcendent function. This psychic and unpredictable process speaks to our evolution as a collective and individuals and therefore a transition between states and attitudes, as Jung describes. While this mysterious and irrational progression of self may not be predictable; however, using astrology transits, we can find patterns or possibilities for this internal union. Learn easy ways to utilize basic astrology tools as well as upcoming important astrological transits to pay attention to for your own preparation and  integration as well as assisting others.  We hope to see you with us!

Rebecca M. Farrar, M.A., aka Wild Witch of the West, is an astrologer and lover living in San Francisco, CA.  Before studying archetypal astrology more than eight years ago, she was a huge skeptic of astrology. Though now offers astrology readings with a down-to-Earth approach utilizing her studies on the evolution of consciousness and psychology.  In 2013, she completed her M.A. at the California Institute of Integral Studies in the Philosophy, Cosmology, and Consciousness (PCC) program.  While there she  studied with archetypal astrologer Rick Tarnas, activist Joanna Macy, and psychotherapist and pioneer Stan Grof. When not staring at astrology transits, she can be found wandering Ocean Beach, which she acknowledges is sacred Ohlone land, curled up with a good book, or "force" cuddling her kitty Freyja. ( Website: www.wildwitchwest.com).
