At Tools to Table, The Crucible's 2013 Fall Open House, we aim to delight the most discerning foodies, locavores and connoiseures of tasteful living.
Saturday, September 7, 2013
Noon to 5:00 p.m.
FREE
We've invited Oakland's best home-grown food vendors such as Fist of Flour, Tina Tamale and small-batch artisans from the local food business incubator, Kitchener Oakland, to cater to artisan food lovers. In our studios and classrooms you'll get an inside look at how artisan tableware is made - from cups in our glass department, to woodturned bowls in the woodshop and knives straight from the smithy.
Check out exciting live demonstrations in all of our classrooms at The Crucible. Catch amazing fiery performances and wander through our student and faculty art show displaying the creativity of The Crucible artist community as it relates to the tools and utensils to get the food to your table to satisfy all of your creative yearnings.
Our open houses are a wonderful way to experience the excitement of The Crucible's 56,000 sq. ft. studio where furnaces roar and sparks fly. Discounts on all of our fall classes available if you register at our Fall Open House.
