San Francisco (May 13, 2020): The Tenderloin Community Benefit District (TLCBD) will co-host a digital panel discussion with the Tenderloin Museum on Thursday, May 14th. The conversation and Q&A session will be focused on how the Tenderloin is responding to the pandemic, led by Matt Haney and other neighborhood community members.
If there's anything that history has shown us--and what the current crisis is reminding us--it's that the Tenderloin is no stranger to hardship. But it's difficult times like these that reveal the power, unity, and resilience of our small, community-driven neighborhood.
This panel will highlight the Tenderloin's successes and challenges from an interpersonal perspective--honoring the heroism of our community members working on the frontlines of the pandemic, as well as the resilience of our beloved, multifaceted neighborhood.
Panelists include Matt Haney (District 6 Supervisor), Del Seymour (Founder of Code Tenderloin), Jose Ramirez (St. Anthony's Executive Director), Christy Shirilla (TLCBD Board Member & Resident), David Elliot Lewis (Mental Health Board of the City and County of San Francisco), and Rene Colorado (Executive Director of the Tenderloin Merchants Association). The discussion will be moderated by Fernando Pujals (TLCBD Senior Director of Communications & Clean Engagement).
