Join us on Save Mount Diablo's stunning Curry Canyon Ranch on an exploration of the 3 B's of June - birds, butterflies, and blooms! We'll hike up to Frog Pond Road and enjoy the beautiful array of birds, butterflies, and blooms along the way.
We may see Bullock's Oriole, Brown-headed Cowbird, Black-throated Gray Warbler, Rufous-crowned Sparrow, Orange-crowned Warbler and Lazuli Bunting. Butterflies - Skippers, Blues, Swallowtails, Hairstreaks and Checkerspots. Blooms - Scarlet Monkeyflower, Clarkias, Flax, Cream Sacs and Mariposa Lilies.
Be sure to bring plenty of water, a snack, and dress in layers. Sturdy shoes or hiking boots are recommended. Heavy rain cancels.
Due to COVID-19, we are limiting the hike to 8 participants. All participants must bring a mask and stay 6ft apart. Hand sanitizer will be available at the hike.
