Set in modern day New York City, Thirty-Six is an exploration of online dating, intimacy, friendship, and the ways we hide ourselves in plain sight. Jenny and David find each other on an online dating app and meet in a bar. From the outset, they appear to have different agendas for the evening. But as they begin to ask and answer the "36 Questions That Lead to Love" the evening takes an unexpected turn.

The play looks at true sexuality - and different approaches to it - in a technology-saturated world. It also considers how single people looking for sex or connection - or both - use sex and their sexuality to alternately be vulnerable and put up walls. This juxtaposition deepens as the 36 Questions roll out, and the resulting intimacy begins to erode Jenny and David's barriers.

A WORLD PREMIERE PRODUCTION!
By Leah Nanako Winkler
Directed by Michelle Talgarow

Featuring Lauren Garcia, Soren Santos, and Nic Feliciano.

Free - $40.

Presented by Shotgun Players.
